New Providence's Move
 |
April 28, 2008
As many of you know, the New Providence store will be moving after Mothers Day. (It's only moving a few doors down so it will still be in the same shopping center, don't worry!) Golden Opportunity: We Want Your Jewelry!

|
April 2008
Do you have a golden opportunity sitting in your jewelry box? Now's the time to take advantage of record high gold prices. Let us give you a written offer to buy for any of your broken or unwanted jewelry that is out of date and out of fashion.
Although we encourage that our customers keep anything of sentimental value to pass on to a relative or dear friend, you probably have a few half pair of earrings that can no longer be worn or matched and perhaps a bracelet that broke years ago you never bothered to have fixed. If you've had a loved one pass away and are left holding a box of jewelry and you have no idea what it's worth, we can help you sort it all out.
If you are not near any of our stores, make sure you sell to a reputable jeweler. Prices being paid for gold should be posted in either grams (gr) or pennyweight (dwt). Scales to weigh scrap gold should have a certification by the state and an approval certificate nearby.

Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo
 |
April 2008
The John Hardy Company is conducting a bamboo reforestation project with a local non-governmental organization “Friends of the National Parks Foundation" on the small, arid and impoverished island of Nusa Penida, off the coast of Bali. The bamboo plantations provide economic opportunities for the people of Nusa Penida and a habitat for the endangered Bali starling songbird.
People interested in contributing to this effort to combat global warming can participate in the "Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo" program. For every piece purchased of the specially designed Bamboo Collection of jewelry, John Hardy will plant certain number of bamboo seedlings on Nusa Penida.
